BIRTH CERTIFICATE / PASTPORT IMAGE UPLOAD DIRECTIONS

 We need a clear image of your child's birth certificate or passport for Capital District Youth Soccer League(CDYSL) registration.  This is a requirement by CDYSL as a one-time method to verify your player's name and age by birth date.  CDYSL will not register a player until they have completed the verification of the birth certificate/passport. Once they have verified name and age they will destroy the image. Unfortunately, Gotsport has made it unnecessarily hard, requiring about a dozen steps to get the birth certificate uploaded. It can be done if you carefully follow the steps I have listed below but it is, in my opinion, overly complicated

To make things easier on you, you can send me the birth certificate or passport picture directly either by text or email and I will upload it to the Gotsport website. Once I have the image uploaded, I will destroy the image.  A clear cell phone image of the B C/Passport is the best and quickest. A clear scan will work too .jpg(jpeg) format works the best.  It must be readable. Text or email me the image:

 Please decide which is the easiest for you to do but please get the image to us as quickly as is convenient for you. Remember, this is a one-time requirement.  It will be good for the rest of their playing time in CDYSL.

Directions for Uploading Birth Certificate/Paassport

 Create an image (scan or photo in .jpg format) of the certificate - save to your desktop or another easily accessible place to have ready.  The image of the Birth Certificate/Passsport needs to be clear enough to be easily read. A clear cell phone image is great!

 Then:

  1.Login to your Gotsport account using this URL https://system.gotsport.com/

  2.On your account page which appears:

  3.Click Family in the left hand menu which brings up your child(children) that you have registered.

  4.Click on your child's name that needs the birth certificate/passport uploaded and that brings up their Profile page

  5.Click Documents in the left hand menu of their Profile page

  6.On the page that comes up, Click the rounded rectangle that says  

  7.That brings up New Document page.

  8.On that page is a Document Repository box. Click Select One and a menu appears choose Capital District Youth Soccer League - Date of Birth Certificate Verification then GO.

  9.On the page that appears, there is a section titled Document Label.  Click Select One and choose Birth Certificate or Passport from the list that appears.

 10.Below the Document Label section there is the File section

 11.Click on Choose File.  That brings up File Explorer.  Navigate to the Birth Certificate/Passport image file that you saved. In file explorer Click open. Then be sure to click the Save button at the bottom of the File section.

 A page appears that indicates the document was saved successfully.

 You are done!
